I began Piedmont Psychotherapy in 2004, as a part-time psychotherapy practice while working full-time for a local agency, doing bilingual family therapy and crisis management. Since then, Piedmont Psychotherapy has grown into a full-time commitment, and then some! Through the course of my fifteen years in mental health, I have received training and practice in family, group and individual psychotherapy, as well as advocacy, organizational leadership and casemanagement. Through my graduate years and beyond, I have been fortunate to work for well-reputed organizations in the Bay Area and Pacific Northwest. I have had wonderful mentorship from community leaders, social workers and marriage and family therapists. Each of them encouraged my professional curiosity and supported my clinical development. Areas of my practice include: I am grateful to have found two excellent interns, to work closely with me in my practice. The experience of supervising them has enriched my work greatly. Together, we have been able to collaborate with families in creative and therapeutically effective ways. Both bring great strengths to Piedmont Psychotherapy, please contact them directly for an appointment.

In my clinical practice, I provide psychotherapy services for English and Spanish-speaking children, teens and adults. I emphasize intergenerational and developmental transition and conflict resolution. I use a mix of therapeutic approaches depending on the needs of my clients, their feedback and goals. My belief is that good therapy helps my clients move forward, whether gently or more directly. It needs to work for THEM.
